A Day of Golf for the Goldens!
A Day of Golfing 4 Goldens 2019!
44 golfers enjoyed the day at our 17th annual tournament now renamed The Gene Fitzpatrick Memorial GRRCC Charity Golf Tournament. The event was hosted by Carolina Lakes (Sun City Golf Club) in Indian Land, SC on Saturday, April 6th and included lunch catered from Olive Garden and dinner catered by Jocks and Jills Sports Grill. Furry “Golden Ambassadors” greeted players in the clubhouse and encouraged them around the course! The day ended with awards and a silent auction for many wonderful and valuable donated items.
Thanks to the generosity of many sponsors, donors and players, we can announce another “Golden” report of just how generous our supporters were. After all of our expenses paid to Carolina Lakes Golf Club, printing costs and prize winnings, we raised $7,156.61. These funds will go a long way to continue our mission to rescue, heal and find forever homes for unwanted, abused, neglected, or abandoned Golden Retrievers. As Gene so often said, “It’s all about the Dogs”.
