Hi folks!

My name is Smoot after my hooman grandpa. ‘Soot’ is what most people think. Some say I’m a ‘black golden’!  I am as cute and energetic as a regular young golden but with a beautiful black shiny coat.

I was 2 years old on Halloween! Yes my birthday is 10/31/2022. I’m a big friendly boy with energy and lots of love to spread. My life hasn’t been the easiest. I’ve had two different owners who loved me but had life things happen which has been kind of hard for me.

I have pretty good manners; I’m neutered and have my vaccines and I’m fully potty trained. I know lots of things like sit and down. I love to play fetch, and I will bring it back to you and if you say drop it I will. I also will go in my ‘house’ my dad calls it a crate but he says house and points to it so I go in but it’s not my favorite place.

I have never been around kids so I would rather be with grown-ups until I learn more about the small people. I do pretty good with other dogs but I am rambunctious and bit my pittie bff on the ear. I guess that was a bad move.

I want to learn and be with someone who will teach me the rules (like remember not to jump on people) so I can always be with my hooman anywhere.  So, if you don’t mind training me for that stuff I will be your bestest boy.
