Pete with the polka-dot feet and his new sister Nova!
“Pete with the Polka Dot Feet” is a perfectly healthy 9-month-old Golden mix who was found with his siblings in rural NC. A Good Samaritan took them all to the vet for vaccinations and microchip, then called GRRCC for help finding their Forever Families. Could you be Pete’s Forever Family??
In his first week with his Foster Family, he learned so many interesting things! On Day 1, he learned that he was allowed to come inside the house. (We think he’s spent most of his young life outside.) On Day 2, he learned how to go up & downstairs. (Again, life inside is weird and wonderful!) On Day 3, he slept quietly through the night on the floor in his foster parent’s bedroom without a peep. On Day 4, he was left alone loose in the house for 1+ hour with his foster brother (“Champ”) and did great! On Day 5, he learned that The Cat (“Moonpie”) is Queen and does not want to play with him…ever. On Day 6, he got a bath (and hated it, but eventually relented). On Day 7, he mastered leash manners. In all this time, Pete has never had an accident in the house or gotten into any mischief at all. (He’s a typical puppy, so he will test the boundaries, but is super-easy to correct and just wants to be loved.)
Pete can be skittish at first with new adventures, but it’s just because he hasn’t had a whole lot of life experience. Another confident dog might help show him the way, so it would be nice if he could have a canine brother or sister in his Forever Family. He will also need to be neutered as a condition of his adoption.
