Dunk Your Dog Day at Wickersham’s K-9 Ranch

It was a great and fun-filled day for both dogs and their families at the Wickersham’s K-9 Ranch for our first Dunk Your Dog Day since 2019. There were a total of 36 dogs that came out to this wonderful boarding facility with their fenced in secure pond area for a day of splashing, fetching and swimming. In total, $940 was raised. This included $680 from registrations for dogs swimming and $260 from merchandise sales. So “Thank You” to all you that came out for the fun!

We’ve missed not having this event so we thoroughly enjoyed seeing some old familiar faces that have supported GRRCC for so many years, as well as some new folks, including one couple & their pup who just moved to Charlotte from Sweden!

We’d like to extend a very special thank you to all of the volunteers that took time out of their busy schedules to support GRRCC and DYDD before, during and even after the event.

So a great big “Thank You” to Paula Barr for leading and coordinating the event once again.  Also to Randy Miner for promoting the event and setting up the online registration on the GRRCC website.

Last, but certainly not least, a shout out to the additional volunteers whose efforts around the pond made everything run so smoothly and for capturing so many of the moments with their cameras. We would not have been able to host the event had it not been for your continued dedication and willingness to get sweaty, wet and muddy! The GRRCC is grateful to all of you!

In no particular order:

Meg Roach and Tara Whiteley for taking so many wonderful pictures
Scott & Ashley Finney
Marcus, Bethany & Ava Gooch and Logan
Sarah Gauger

Thank you all once again and check out our photos. We hope to see even more dogs and people next year.
