We Have The Parade Details!

Hello friends of GRRCC! Please join GRRCC with your Goldens, golden mixes or just join us if you just love Goldens, in the annual St. Patrick’s Day parade in uptown Charlotte this Saturday, March 15, 2025. We hope to see to see a LOT of Goldens there, so let’s make this holiday more golden than green!

This approximately one and a quarter mile parade will begin promptly at 11 am, rain or shine! GRRCC is #37 of 64 entries and the parade organizers require us to be ready to go by 10:30 am. There will be a lot of people, closed streets and parking may not be close to our gathering area, so please allow yourself plenty of time.

When and Where to Meet: Please arrive no later than 10:00 am. We’ll gather together on W 10th St between Church St  and Tryon St. (See map below) There will be parade organizers that will guide us where to go and when to start. GRRCC experienced marchers will help if any of you have any questions. If you can’t find us you can call Ashley Finney at 704-606-0267.

Where to Park: We can’t tell you where parking will be available, but parking can sometimes be found at the Mecklenburg County Vital Records building at 9th St and College St when arriving early.  There are other lots near 10th or 11th Street and there is some on street parking nearby as well. So again, just leave yourself enough time to find a place to park, knowing that it may not be extremely close to where we’ll be gathering.

After We March: After the parade consider sticking around and enjoy Irish dancers, bagpipers, vendors and food and, of course, that magic elixir, Guinness Stout! There will be fun activities until 6 pm.
