Dunk Your Dog Day at Southern Country K-9 Ranch
It was a great and fun-filled day for both dogs and their families at the Southern Country K-9 Ranch for GRRCC’s 2025 Dunk Your Dog Day. The weather was perfect as the overcast sky made for a very comfortable late morning and early afternoon. A total of 34 dogs enjoyed splashing, fetching and swimming in the fenced in, secure pond amenity offered at this wonderful boarding facility.
It was such a joy to see the familiar faces of those of you who have supported GRRCC for so many years, as well as meet some new folks. In total, this event raised almost $700. So “Thank You” to all of you who came out for the fun!
GRRCC is grateful for the support and generosity of the owner and staff of Southern Country K-9 Ranch and the many volunteers who took time out of their busy schedules to make this event happen. Special thanks go to the following people:
- Paula Barr for once again leading and coordinating this event
- Randy Miner for promoting and setting up the online registration for the event and for recruiting volunteers
- Jen Capote for capturing so many amazing event photos
- Shellie Miner for organizing the registration data for Check-in
- Our wonderful volunteers, Ashley Finney, Sarah Gauger, Tony Barr, Sarah Dowless, Meg Roach, Kaye-Lani Laughna, Kelly Kucsma and Isabel Drinkwater whose efforts at the event and around the pond and willingness to get a bit sweaty, wet and muddy made everything run so smoothly. It takes a village, and you all were key to a successful event.
Thank you all once again. Please be sure to check out the event video. We hope to see even more dogs and people next year.
