Home/Upcoming Events/A Call for Goldens
Hello all golden retriever owners!

At the annual Loch Norman Highland Games at historic Rural Hill, they do a Parade of Scottish Breeds. They would LOVE to have at least 12 Golden Retrievers (and hopefully many more) and their people in their parade! We’re also sure that many of you may know other Golden Retriever owners so please invite them as they may not follow our rescue. Your golden does not need to be a GRRCC rescue, any happy golden is more than welcome. We know Golden Retrievers rule so let’s get as many golden wagging tails as we can in their parade!

The Parade will be held at noon on Sunday, April 19. As always, handlers will receive free parking and free admission to the Games on that Sunday. Come for the parade and stay for a day of Scottish music, Scottish dancing, athletics, bourbon tasting, vendors and more. Click the button below to learn more about this wonderful annual event.

When: Sunday, April 19th and the parade starts at noon
Where:  Rural Hill, 4431 Neck Rd, Huntersville, NC 28078

To register for this event, you must email Kate Cameron at coach.kate@yahoo.com and copy Lynn Henderson at lynnathome@att.net with the number of dogs that you’ll be bringing.

If you are NOT able to come, PLEASE help spread the word however you can. The Loch Norman Highland Games have enjoyed seeing a bunch of goldens over the years so let’s keep it going!
