Thank You!
A special thank you, filled with gratitude and appreciation to all who donated to the Holiday Tree fundraiser and who volunteered throughout 2025! We closed the annual fundraising tree this year with an outstanding total amount of $14,595 an increase from the 2024 total of $9,530! Thank you all for your generous donations! The GRRCC is forever grateful for the wonderful fosters, volunteers and intake team who work hard to make the rescue flow smoothly. 2025 was a busy year for the GRRCC, the rescue had several Goldens enter the rescue with ongoing health issues who found loving fosters to help with their care. The GRRCC could not run as smoothly without the wonderful volunteers, from the intake team, the Board of Directors, to the team of fosters, and transport! Also a HUGE Thank you out to Jessica with Camp Furry Friends in Salisbury, NC! The GRRCC is forever thankful to you for your love and compassion! As well as those last minute accommodations you always came through with. We all do this for the love of the Goldens, past and present who have left paw prints and lasting memories in our hearts!
A heartfelt thank you to all of the volunteers who just showed up when and where they were needed, in some circumstances not knowing what to expect! You are all amazing! 2025 was a year of learning new strategies and growth for all involved in the rescue. As a rescue, we worked hard to make sure each of the goldens brought into the rescue received the best care, and when I say best care, I truly mean it! Again we survived and we will go into 2026 stronger!
In 2025, the GRRCC provided support for over 29 surrenders who found their furever homes, with just a couple still in foster homes. Looking to 2026, we have our Annual GRRCC meeting that is open to the public (February 15th) time TBD, please watch for any updates on the GRRCC website, the annual Charlotte St. Patrick’s Day Parade, just to name a few. I am looking forward to seeing many of you at these events!
